Thank you for your further comments. I am afraid your guess is wrong. The model (a
"strongly failed NONMEM run") which is the subject of this discussion has indeed
been published in Br J Clin Pharmacol.

I can assure you many tricks and initial estimate games were played to try and get a
cleaner solution for this model. If you have read the previous discussion you will
realize that the *model* can describe a random sample of the original data with
successful minimization and $COV. So my contention is that this is not a model
problem but a modelling program (NONMEM) problem.
I invite you to write to the editor with your opinions if you wish but I would
prefer to read some arguments based on data.
