I was involved in the population PK of 2 different drugs where we looked at drug-drug interaction.
For lamotrigine, we examined any interaction with oral contraceptives. The outcome was negative- not interaction [Z. Hussein & J. Posner. Br J Clin Pharmacol 1997; 43:457-465].
For atovaquone, we examined any possible interaction with proguanil (chloroguanide), pyrimethamine and tetracycline. Also in this case there was no drug-drug interaction [Hussein et al. Clin Pharmacol Ther 1997; 61:518-30].
Also, reference is made to the talk about this topic by Professor Tom Ludden,
University of Nebraska, at the last COST meeting in Geneva. A book with all oral and poster presentations was sent to all participants.
