The oral dose was administered daily for 28 days in rats. But the dose was adjusted for animal body weight every week. So the dose has been changing during the 28 days period. I want to calculate AUC for 28 days in each animal. Is there any code that can be used to calculate AUC for 28 days? Thanks Sreenivasa Rao Vanapalli, Ph.D. University of Iowa Iowa City

Then use a do loop with the following codes to calculate the daily AUC and cumulative AUC out site of NONMEM (I used SAS code). It is based on the superposition theory, Cmin1 is the concentration 24-hr post a single dose. It is based on a one-compartment model. ============================================================= CMIN1= DOSE*KA/(V*(KA-KEL))*(EXP(-KEL*24) - EXP(-KA*24)); AUC24= DOSE/CL - CMIN1/KEL + CMIN*(1 -EXP(-KEL*24))/KEL; CUMAUC=CUMAUC+AUC24; ============================================================= Best regards, Sam Liao, Ph.D. PharMax Research 270 Kerry Lane, Blue Bell, PA 19422 phone: 215-6541151 efax: 1-720-2946783
