Update on NONMEM 7.4
Dear nmusers:
Some of our users who run NONMEM 7.4 in a Linux environment are experiencing a
copy error of the following type:
cp: cannot open '/opt/NONMEM/nm74g/pr/JAC2.f90' for reading: Permission denied
f951: Error: Can't open file '/opt/NONMEM/nm74g/pr/JAC2.f90'
<built-in>: Fatal Error: can't open input file: /opt/NONMEM/nm74g/pr/JAC2.f90
compilation terminated.
This occurs if the user is not also the original installer of the NONMEM, or is
not the administrator. The group and world permissions of files in the ../pr
directory need to be set to read and execute (or at least read) to avoid this
error message. Please have your administrator or owner of the NONMEM
installation execute the following Linux command from the pr sub-directory of
the NONMEM directory (this needs to be done only once for a given NONMEM
installation):
chmod 755 *.f90
There is no need to re-install NONMEM.
A new NONMEM7.4.1.zip installer file has been uploaded, dated 12-JUL-2017,
which has the proper permission setting, so this matter is rectified for future
downloads.
Be aware that the NONMEM task may still execute after this error message
occurs, but memory issues may arise if $SIZES PC=xxx is set in the control
stream file and this permission issue was not corrected.
