World Conference on Pharmacometrics (WCoP)
Dear all,
It is my second announcement of the first World Conference on Pharmacometrics
(WCoP) to be held in Seoul, Korea, 5-7 September, 2012.
As those of you who attended ACoP or PAGE this year probably heard, the WCoP
has been created to give a local stimulus to the region where it is hosted and
to provide opportunities of discussing the future of pharmacometrics from a
strategic perspective. I will be held every 4 years,
* Registration open: April 1, 2012
* Abstract submission due: May 31, 2012
* Early-bird registration due: June 30, 2012
* Conference website: http://www.go-wcop.org/
This 2.5-day conference will consist of 7 oral sessions and 2 plenary lectures,
followed by 2 workshop sessions in parallel with tutorials. There will be
opportunities of oral presentation for selected abstracts. For the detail of
the program, please visit the conference website.
We are soliciting financial contributions from exhibitors and sponsors. If you
are interested in such contribution opportunities, please visit the conference
website for the detail.
The satellite courses scheduled before or after the conference are as follows
and the detail is found at the conference website:
* PK-PD course for modeling of continuous, categorical and time-to event data
using NONMEM 7
* Optimal design course
* Modeling Biologics with Target-Mediated Disposition
* An Introduction to PK/PD Modeling Using Phoenix WinNonlin
* Population Modeling with Phoenix® NLME™ and Phoenix® Connect
* A course on the Monolix 4.1 modelling & simulation software
* Physiologically Modeling Inter-individual Variability: NLME meets PBPK
Considering 60% of world population living in Asia, it is meaningful that the
first WCoP will be held in Asia. It is hoped that WCoP 2012 will contribute to
increasing Asian countries’ interest in pharmacometrics as well as discussing
future directions of the pharmacometrics in the world.
Seoul, the conference venue, has been very active in hosting international PKPD
symposia in recent years. As the capital city for more than 600 years since the
last dynasty of Korea, it will present you a cultural experience with a mixture
of old tradition and hi-technology during the stay.
Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
Best regards,
Kyungsoo Park
