World Conference on Pharmacometrics (WCoP)
Dear all,
This is an update on the first World Conference on Pharmacometrics (WCoP) to be
held in Seoul, Korea, 5-7 September, 2012.
First, we have decided to extend the abstract submission deadline to June 15.
This is to reflect requests from European community for an extension of the
abstract deadline after PAGE meeting next month so that people can submit
better abstracts that take into account PAGE learnings. The abstract submitter,
if selected for oral presentation at Session 5, will be provided a travel grant
of up to USD 1,000.
* Abstract submission due: June 15, 2012
* Early-bird registration due: June 30, 2012
* Conference website: http://www.go-wcop.org/
Second, the programs for the satellite courses are all finalized and
registrations are now open. You had better hurry up to register as each course
has a limited number of slots available. Please refer to the conference website
for details about registration and payment methods:
* PK-PD course for modeling of continuous, categorical and time-to event data
using NONMEM 7 (Sept 2-4)
* Modeling Biologics with Target-Mediated Disposition (Sept 4)
* An Introduction to PK/PD Modeling Using Phoenix WinNonlin (Sept 4)
* Population Modeling with Phoenix NLME and Phoenix Connect (Sept 7-8)
* A course on the Monolix 4.1 modelling & simulation software (Sept 3-4)
* Physiologically Modeling Inter-individual Variability: NLME meets PBPK (Sept
3)
As always, we are soliciting financial contributions from exhibitors and
sponsors. If you are interested in such contribution opportunities, please
visit the conference website for the detail.
Considering 60% of world population living in Asia, it is meaningful that the
first WCoP will be held in Asia. It is hoped that WCoP 2012 will contribute to
increasing Asian countries' interest in pharmacometrics as well as discussing
future directions of the pharmacometrics in the world.
Seoul, the conference venue, has been very active in hosting international PKPD
symposia in recent years. As the capital city for more than 600 years since the
last dynasty of Korea, it will present you a cultural experience with a mixture
of old tradition and hi-technology during the stay.
Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
Best regards,
Kyungsoo Park
