Subject: [NMusers] Sequential PK/PD approach Query

Dear Users,
I had question regarding "sequential PkPD approach". Lets say we have Pk info from
one group and another gives PD with different pk & pd sampling schemes.
for simplicity sake both the groups considered similar.
1. Since the PD group is different what kind of PK predictions does NONMEM use
to estimate PD ??
2. Is there a way to know them ??
3. suggestions on setting up of Data file since we have 2 different groups of
population with different sampling times.
Thanks !!
David

One approach would be to:
1. Determine the PK model and parameter estimates from the PK group data.
2. Create a PK-PD model where the PK component is fixed using the parameters derived from
the PK group data and the PD parameters are estimated from the PD group data.
Not an optimal situation, but its worth a try.

Thanks folks, Atul, i think the data set you have is for doing simulataneous PK/PD.
i was trying to have some information regarding sequential approach, setting up data file,
some insights on control stream.
Thanks!!
David
