Oral partitioned dose

Can anybody tell me how i can specify in NONMEM data file (in dose column) that a dose is partitioned into two compartments. After p.o. drug administration, part of the dose gets solved (CMT 1) and the rest precipitates (CMT 2). Thanks in advance for your coperation ************************************************************** Rosario Calvo Duo, PhD Department of Pharmacology Faculty of Medicine University of the Basque Leioa, Vizcaya 48940 Spain tel: +34 946012761 UTC+1hour fax: +34 944800128 http://www.ehu.es

You may also want to use a RATE column specifying whether the dose is a bolus or an infusion, if your model includes zero order absorption for one of the compartment. Look at help files for all this. Finally you probably will have also to use Fx the bioavailability parameter in $PK where x is the compartment number of your dose. In your example F1, where 0 < F1 < 1, will be the proportion of dose getting solved and F2 = 1-F1 the proportion of dose getting precipitated.
