I am trying to setup NONMEM V 1.1 on our Redhat LINUX 7.2 system and have
had some problems. In particular, the setup seems to go well, i.e. no
errors. But, when I try to run the test I get the following error:
nmfe5 CONTROL3 REPORT3
WARNINGS AND ERRORS (IF ANY) FOR PROBLEM 1
(WARNING 1) NM-TRAN INFERS THAT THE DATA ARE SINGLE-SUBJECT.
Starting nonmem execution ...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Does anybody know of any setup problems that are particular to LINUX that I
need to consider?

There are no problems, that I am aware of, with NONMEM V 1.1 on our Redhat
LINUX 7.2. Your WARNINGS are "warnings", not ERRORS. (Warnings can be
suppressed, but, there is no real need to do so.) The core dump is another
issue, that is a real problem. As I recall, the critical issue with 7.2 was
the optimization argument '-O3 -malign-double'
Try repeating the installation with the following arguments:
SETUP /opt/NONMEM/nmv f77 '-O3 -malign-double' /usr/bin/ar Intel
Also, control3 is not a sufficient test, I recommend using control5 (and
theopp data file).
