Dear nmusers:
It is my pleasure to introduce our newest member of the NONMEM development
team, Yi Zhang. Yi has recently come from Critical Path Institute, and before
that from Metrum Research Group. He has extensive experience in PK/PD modeling
and modeling of disease progression, as well as contributing to the development
of Torsten, the Bayesian analysis library for PK/PD pharmacometrics using Stan.
Yi has a Ph.D. from Oregon State University (2013), and other advanced degrees
in applied mathematics and engineering. Yi will be using his extensive ability
in PK/PD, mathematics, statistics, and software development experience in
Fortran and C to help further the development of NONMEM, and continue providing
improvements to NONMEM's present algorithms, as well as add new algorithms to
serve the PK/PD population analysis community. Yi has been present at previous
PAGE and ACOP meetings, so some of you may already know him, and he will be at
the ACOP 2025 meeting in Aurora Colorado. Please stop by the ICON booth to
welcome him and say hello, and he will also be present at the pre-meeting
NONMEM advanced workshop on Oct 17.
