Dear NONMEM users:
I have a question about Michaelis Menten Kinetics. According to NONMEM Users Guide-Part VIII p.321, the unit of Km can be amount. Is that reasonable?

I am unware of a physiological reason for which Km could have units such as an amount. However, it is possible that NONMEM allows this for a situation in which the parameters are transformed in some way. I hope this helps.

It is probably because NONMEM uses drug amount in mg internally when
calculating differential equation solutions. Thus the equation is...
dX/dt = - Vm*X/(Km + X) [or maybe even dC/dt = - Vm*X/V*(Km + X)] Km
needs to be in mg to match the units for X.

Dear NONMEM users:
If we use amount to be the unit of Km, how do we interpretate the results??
