We are delighted to announce that on June 25th in Bridgewater, Dr. José Pinheiro, of Janssen, will speak on “Improving Efficiency and Understanding of Dose Finding Studies via Dose-Time Response Modeling” Abstract: Finding the right dose is a critical step in drug development. The problem of selecting the “right” dose, or dose range, occurs at almost every stage throughout the process of developing a new drug, such as in Phase I studies estimating the maximum tolerated dose and in Phase II studies covering dose ranging and dose-exposure-response modelling. Statistical modeling methods have been recently developed to improve the efficiency and understanding of dose finding studies. This presentation will highlight some of the recent developments, focusing in particular on the use of longitudinal data through dose-time response modelling. Examples from real clinical trials illustrate the methods. This represents a program change, caused by unavoidable scheduling issues. We are very pleased that the previously scheduled speaker, Dr. Dave Polidori, has agreed to be with us at some future date.
