FYI: I installed PsN 4.2.0 on Centos 5.6 with perl-5.8.8-32.el5_5.2 (from the base yum repository). I have run one or two models so far, so I cannot claim to have tested 4.2 very extensively; however, I haven't noticed any red flags.
I used the following command for installing the perl modules in order to automatically accept to install the (many) dependencies:
PERL_MM_USE_DEFAULT=1 perl -MCPAN -e 'install My::Module'
... replacing My::Module the modules suggested for linux on http://psn.sourceforge.net/install.php . Following this, I could install the new PsN by running "perl setup.pl" with the suggested options.
Since this system configuration is not officially listed as compatible (yet...? cf. http://psn.sourceforge.net/download.php ), I chose to not install 4.2 as the default PsN. This means that symlinks still point execute to /usr/bin/execute-3.7.6 (etc.).
I assume that I can update the symlinks later by re-running the 4.2 installer, then selecting 4.2 as the default PsN. Is this correct?
