Ferring is currently looking to strengthen its Department of Experimental Medicine with the appointment of a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacokineticist with modelling & simulation expertise. The Department is responsible for the planning, design and evaluation of Phase I-II activities including pharmacokinetic analyses and reports, as well as the implementation of Population PK/PD modelling and Clinical Trial Simulation. YOUR ASSIGNMENTS You will provide clinical pharmacology and PK to support Ferring development projects. As such, you can expect the main functional tasks to be: * Planning, design and implementation of pharmacokinetics studies, including PK/PD parts in clinical study protocols * Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data analysis of human data (all phases in global development programs) * Pharmacokinetic and PK/PD input to clinical study reports * Ad hoc pharmacokinetic support to other functions and regions as applicable * Keep abreast with regulatory guidelines relevant to clinical pharmacology studies * Pharmacokinetic input to response to queries from regulatory agencies * Provide pharmacokinetics/Clinical Pharmacology input to Ferring's therapeutic areas and into regulatory activities (submissions, meetings, queries) * Represent Experimental Medicine in Project teams and connection with scientific, clinical and regulatory activities. OUR EXPECTATIONS As this position is a key function within Ferring's Department of Experimental Medicine we expect the professional expertise and enthusiasm from a scientist whose credentials closely match the following parameters: * a university degree such as pharmacist, or within biosciences and a strong scientific profile preferrably a PhD with a solid basis in pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic data analysis. * We also expect you to have at least five years experience from the pharmaceutical industry and a genuine understanding and experience of regulatory guidelines and interactions with regulatory authorities. * A thorough understanding and experience of modelling and simulations applications, e.g. population PK/PD modelling. * Experience with NONMEM will be expected * Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with internal and external team members and across all functional groups, considering multiple solutions to problems and supporting team decisions. * Action-oriented and goal seeking * Focused and quality-minded * First class communication and presentation skills * Excellent English, both written and spoken Further information about the position can be obtained by contacting Lars Grundemar, Associate Vice President on mail: [email protected].
