Introduction to Quantitative Pharmacology and PK/PD for Drug Discovery & Development Scientists Quantitative pharmacology is vital in drug discovery both for target validation, optimizing the development of lead compounds and for scaling compounds to humans. It has also become mandatory for regulatory bodies. This course gives an introduction to quantitative pharmacology and aims to give delegates the confidence and encouragement to have a go at PK/PD. In addition, the course gives a basis to building relationships between bioscience, medicinal chemistry, DMPK and related scientific disciplines.
