QRPEM matters

Dear users: Some of you who attended the PAGE meeting in Venice last week asked me about the quasi-random parametric expectation maximization method (QRPEM) that was being presented by Bob Leary. This quasi-random sampling method used in QRPEM is the Sobol method, and is available in NONMEM 7.2 for importance sampling or direct sampling. Please read section 1.21., RANMETHOD option (around page 34), in ..\guides\nm720.pdf of your nonmem installation for implementing this sampling method for importance sampling. Robert J.
