RE: Set initial values for PHIs
Sven:
You cannot easily bring in individual phi values externally. But, suitable
optimal phi values can be supplied to the BAYES method if you perform an ITS
analysis just before that. For example,
$EST METHOD=ITS INTERACTION NITER=0 (plus additional options)
$EST METHOD=BAYES INTERACTION NBURN=4000 NITER=10000 (plus additional options)
If you want ITS to also provide suitable starting values for thetas, omegas and
sigmas as well:
$EST METHOD=ITS INTERACTION NITER=30 (plus additional options)
$EST METHOD=BAYES INTERACTION NBURN=4000 NITER=10000 (plus additional options)

Subject: [NMusers] Set initial values for PHIs
Hello,
is there any possiblity to set initial values for the PHIs for each individual
in the Bayesian methods?
I have a rather complex system with local minimas in the ETA distribution, thus
I would like to start the subjects PHIs at values derived by eye fitting or
individual fitting using seperate models.
Any suggestions are highly welcome
Sven
