Question Re Calling nmfe7 from R

Dear NONMEM users, I recently have NONMEM 7.1.0 upgraded to 7.1.2, which only worked in Intel Fortran compiler, but not in DOS. When I tried to call nmfe7 from R, it apparently called DOS command and failed to run. Is there a way to link nmfe7 to Intel, instead of DOS? I've been waiting for an answer for my IT rep for two weeks and am wondering if I can get some guidance from our discussion group.
