FW: can NONMEM/gfortran be used on a 64bit dell workstation with Windows 7?

Hello.exe is just a minimal test of the compiler, not sufficient to insure proper operation of the compiler. However, we have had no difficulty installing NONMEM 7.2 on 64-bit Windows 7 using the compiler found on the NONMEM distribution CD (gfortran-windows-460.exe). No LIBRARY variable is set (or needed) for this version. We have seen issues related to co-installation of gfortran and g95 (and gfortran finding and trying to use the g95 libraries). The two compilers can be made to co-exist, but, I don't recommend it. The main issue has been assuring that User Access Control for Windows 7 is turned off before installation. Hello; We try to install NONMEM/gfortran with on a 64bit dell workstation with Windows 7. Installation of gfortran was tested and hello.exe generated hello message. Enviroment variables and the library path look OK. The installation program generates the following messge: "Compiler gfortran and/or install program cannot be run Installation Aborted".
