RE: which fortran compiler works under windows 7
Dear All,
I used the g95 compiler linked by Kun Wang and followed the advise of Stephen
Dufful for disabling the Win7 message. This worked like a charm! Thank you all
for this. Also, thanks Markus for suggesting intel fortran. I'm sure it will
work but I just wanted to start with trying a free option first.
Regards,
Ahmed

There are no problems running NM7 on Win7 using the gfortran
compiler. The key to getting it to install is to disable the message that Win7
(and I believe Vista) prompts to warn you that it is making changes to the hard
drive. If you don’t disable this you won’t be able to install NM (at least I
can’t do it).
There was a thread about this recently which gave details on how
to disable this feature of Win7.

Hi, same problem here...
I've been trying the whole day to install a free fortran compiler for windows
7 but with no success yet. I tried g95 and gfortran with no luck. However im
using windows 7 (32 bit instead). Any help would be appreciated..

Ahmed

Dear
Colleagues,
Can
someone provide some tips in running NONMEM under MS-windows 7? I
have Win-7 home premium 64-bit, unfortunately, MS does not provide an XP
mode for this type of windows.
Particurly,
I would like to know which fortran compiler has been tested for NONMEM under
Win-7?
Thanks,
Jun
