Academic Clinical Pharmacologist Wanted at the University of Auckland

The University of Auckland is seeking a Clinical Pharmacologist who will provide academic leadership in research, teaching and clinical service. The Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology provides teaching for the undergraduate medical, pharmacy and biomedical science programmes, and many postgraduate programmes. The Department has a strong research track record with research interests in pharmacometrics ( http://pkpdrx.com/holford/research/ < http://pkpdrx.com/holford/research/ >), neuroscience, drug metabolism, toxicology, respiratory pharmacology, and anti-cancer drugs. Applications are invited from academics with a proven track record in research and teaching. The successful candidate will co-ordinate the teaching of pharmacology and clinical pharmacology in the undergraduate medical programme, and will contribute to teaching in biomedical science at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He/she will undertake research at a high level and attract external research funding. The applicant will be a practising clinician who can effectively promote the appropriate and rational use of medicines in both secondary and primary care.
