I planned to put a summary in a week, but I see that the stream of responses dwindle, so we can have some summaries now (BTW, if you know colleagues who do not use nmusers but attended PAGE and would be willing to participate in a survey, could you forward this email to them).
Summary:
1. Total replied 123, 31 were positive for a positivity rate of 25.2%;
2. Among 57 subjects who had NO prior infection, 18 were positive for a total rate of 31.6%;
3. Among 66 subjects who had prior infection, 13 were positive for a total rate of 19.7%;
4. Among 44 subjects who had prior infection in 2022, 2 were positive for a total rate of 2.3%
So prior infection this year provides significant protection against transmission.
Apparently, Europe does not use paxlovid, as I was the only one (based in US) who had it. Also, nobody had rebound of infection without paxlovid.
Update on paxlovid in my case: I managed to pass COVID to 4 people, including myself, and all of us took paxlovid within 1/2 day of the positive test. Three of us who had Age >=60, got rebound infection (75% out of 4 people); for two, the second symptoms were worse than the first round. One person (younger guy < 30 years old) did not have a rebound. Assuming 2% rebound probability, we observed an event with the probability <0.001, looks like we were really lucky :)
