*Job Description: *
The intern will be part of the Clinical Pharmacology group within Novartis
Translational Clinical Oncology to apply state-of-the-art quantitative
methodologies to elucidate the mechanism of biological system and predict
clinical response. The job responsibilities include systems pharmacology
and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) modelling, data mining, and
literature review. Through this program, the intern will gain experience in
systems pharmacology and PK/PD modeling, interact with scientists in
research and clinical, and apply mathematical modeling skills in drug
development in a major global pharmaceutical company.
*Requirements: *
*Basic Qualifications:* Currently enrolled in a PhD degree program working
in the senior years in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied
Mathematics/Statistics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related
field. Eligible to work on a full-time basis during the internship
duration. 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA.
*Preferred Qualifications:* Proficiency with systems pharmacology and
PK/PD modeling softwares (e.g. Matlab, Phoenix, R). Experience of
quantitative analysis of biological system.
