Senior/Principal Scientist in PKPDM&S at ICON Development Solutions
Due to the continuing demand to support our clients in drug development through
the integration of modelling and simulation into clinical development programs,
ICON Development Solutions is looking for an experienced pharmacokineticist to
join our PKPDM&S team in the UK (Marlow or Manchester) with a key
responsibility to develop and apply M&S strategies, study designs and analyses
across all phases of drug development.
ICON Development Solutions specialises in the strategy and delivery of early
drug development, with multi-disciplinary expertise from compound selection
through to proof-of-concept clinical development. ICON Development Solutions
successfully delivers results for informed and timely decision making. We
have noted expertise in non-clinical development, early-phase clinical
research, bioanalytical, PKPDM&S together with the full range of support
services of a major CRO.
This position is within the PKPDM&S group of ICON Development Solutions. The
position offers a great opportunity to apply your PKPDM&S skills by applying
state of the art PKPD study design and analyses to support our clients'
clinical development programs.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
§ Prepare PKPDM&S-based strategies to support clinical development
programs;
§ Design, conduct, interpret and prepare appropriate study and
regulatory summaries of PKPDM&S activities;
§ Build and sustain great relationships with clients;
§ Prepare and present scientific publications;
§ Serve as scientific reviewer and staff mentor to colleagues.
The minimum experience/requirements for this role are:
§ PhD (or equivalent experience) in pharmacokinetics/PKPD with at least
3 years of industry or academic post PhD experience;
§ Excellent understanding of the integration of PKPDM&S into clinical
drug development;
§ Demonstrated expertise in hands-on population-based modelling e.g.
NONMEM, Monolix and related software (Splus, R, Xpose, PsN);
§ Proven mentorship capabilities;
§ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
