Job Overview:
We have an immediate opening for a research scientist with a background in the
area of paediatric clinical pharmacology to assist in the development of
mechanistic models linking drug concentration to its effects within the Simcyp
Paediatric Simulator. The post requires a sound understanding of the
theoretical aspects of paediatric clinical pharmacology, including factors that
drive age related changes in drug disposition. In addition, familiarity with
protocols related to the conduct of clinical studies in children and adults are
essential. The successful applicant will join an internationally recognised,
multidisciplinary team in which they will have the opportunity to further
develop their knowledge and skills in the area of systems pharmacology. For

Requirements:
Essential
* PhD or equivalent in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences or a closely
allied discipline.
* Sound understanding of PKPD principles and the use of drug therapy in
paediatrics.
* The ability to collate and review data from the scientific literature.
* Demonstrable oral and written communication skills, as evident by
presentation at scientific meetings.
* Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
Desirable
* Some knowledge of drug absorption models.
* Some knowledge of PK properties of large molecules.
* Confidence in the mathematical modelling of data.
