A Research Associate position is available in the Newcastle Cancer Centre
Clinical Pharmacology Group for a talented PhD-qualified researcher with a
strong interest in clinical pharmacology and/or drug development.
The post is funded by Cancer Research UK and is available from the 1st November
2014 for a period of 2 years in the first instance, under the supervision of Dr
Gareth Veal. This is an excellent career development opportunity for an
early-career researcher looking to develop interests in clinical pharmacology
in a cancer setting.
The successful candidate will have experience in cancer research and/or a
background in pharmacology and will work on multiple projects involving the
development of assays for the quantification of novel small molecule and
antibody therapies. They will be required to plan and carry out the development
and validation of novel assays to facilitate the analysis of clinical trial
samples. All work will be carried out according to GCLP regulations, in which
the candidate will ideally have some experience.
