Dear collegues, Can anyone out there provide me with a data set/control stream that generates the  error: 0PRED EXIT CODE = 1 0INDIVIDUAL NO. 1 ID= 1.00000000000000E+00 (WITHIN-INDIVIDUAL) DATA REC NO. 4 THETA 1.14E+00 -5.36E+00 -1.42E+01 -4.18E+00  9.00E+00 4.21E-01 -6.76E-01 5.63E-01 OCCURS DURING SEARCH FOR ETA AT INITIAL VALUE, ETA=0 NUMERICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH INTEGRATION ROUTINE.               NO. OF REQUIRED SIGNIFICANT DIGITS IN SOLUTION VECTOR       TO DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS, ; 7, MAY BE TOO LARGE Here is the hard part, it generates after very little run time - ideally in 10 minutes or less. I have any number that throw this at 4 or 6 (or 24) hours, but that makes debugging it hard.thanks Mark Sale MD Next Level Solutions, LLC www.NextLevelSolns.com 919-846-9185 (image/png attachment: left.letterhead)

Mark, I have seen this one often enough, but I never tend to save those results like they are the ones I am proud of ;-). I would look into initial values, some bugs in the control stream or model overparameterization. Anyway, a search in a directory tree ended up with one example that provided this statement in just 1 second. A problem is that the dataset is proprietary. So here goes a description: -the parent run crashed with a rounding error (1.0 sigdigs) -I tried 4 variations on the parent model: 1) simplified the $error structure. Crashed with a floating point 2) increased tol to 7 (now I wonder why I did not start with tol=7 in the first place). Crashed with rounding (0.3 sigdigs) but at a higher ofv 3) switch to advan9 and decrease in tol: crashed with lsodi1 (ERROR IN LSODI1: CODE 205) of ID12 4) switch to advan8 and decrease in tol: crashed with the one you mentioned, for ID7. See below -I thereafter fixed the error component I removed in 1) which resulted in a lower ofv. - Further down the line, I ended up in estimation of this parameter again. Hope this helps, Jeroen crash message: MONITORING OF SEARCH: 0PRED EXIT CODE = 1 0INDIVIDUAL NO. 7 ID=0.70000000E+01 (WITHIN-INDIVIDUAL) DATA REC NO. 5 THETA -5.70E+00 -3.60E+00 -3.60E+00 -3.70E+00 0.00E+00 2.40E-01 4.60E+00 7.60E+00 -4.90E+00 -5.20E+00 4.10E+00 3.00E+00 8.00E-01 -2.00E-01 1.00E+00 3.60E-01 2.50E-01 OCCURS DURING SEARCH FOR ETA AT A NONZERO VALUE OF ETA NUMERICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH INTEGRATION ROUTINE.
