Dear all, A post-doctoral or research engineer position in the area of **mathematical modelling of antibiotics pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics** is available in our department **in Paris** (INSERM UMR 1137) . You will work on the Bla Impact project, financed by a grant from the French National Research Agency. This project studies the impact of beta-lactam antibiotics on the intestinal content in beta-lactamases and on the taxonomic structure of the intestinal microbiome. Within this project, you will work on the mathematical modelling of within-hosts antibiotics pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and their impact on the development of bacterial resistance and on the intestinal microbiota. Applicants should have a PhD in applied mathematics, biostatistics, pharmacometrics or similar degree type. They should have significant computational/programming skills (e.g. R, matlab), as well as experience in modelling and statistics, and excellent communication skills. Experience in working with experimental or clinical data, PK/PD models, and bacteriology/infectious diseases would be an advantage. The 2-year position will take place in the modeling group led by Prof. France Mentré & Dr. Jérémie Guedj ( https://www.iame-research.center/eq4/research-interests/ ), which is part of a larger INSERM unit center devoted to infectious diseases and modelling.
