The Clinical Pharmacology Review Team for Metabolic and Endocrine Drug Products at CDER, FDA is looking for a post-doctoral fellow to work on internal research projects in clinical pharmacology. These projects have potential to influence the design of future clinical studies, methodology used for data analysis for drug approval, and class labeling. This is a good opportunity for applicants to gain expertise in quantitative clinical pharmacology and drug development by working with leading scientists at FDA. We are looking for a candidate preferably with the following skills: 1. Holds a Ph.D. degree in clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, or related disciplines 2. Working knowledge of pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling and basic statistics 3. Hands-on-experience on software routinely used in modeling and simulation such as NONMEM, WinNonLin, SAS, S-plus, R and JMP 4. Experience in longitudinal data analysis, time-to-event or adverse event analysis is a plus 5. Excellent communication and time-management skills This is a one year fellowship. The applicant should be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The appointment is for one year, which may be renewed based on project needs and priorities. The participant will receive a monthly stipend commensurate with his/her educational level and work experience. The participant must show a proof of medical insurance. The participant will work full time at FDA site in Silver Spring, Maryland. However, participant does not become employee of FDA or the project administrator, and there are no fringe benefits paid.
