Dear all, At the University of Cape Town (UCT) Pharmacometrics Group we are looking for a bright and motivated candidate to join our modelling team. Our pharmacometrics group has established PK/PD modelling expertise in the disease area of tuberculosis, HIV, and malaria. It is active internationally and enjoys on-going collaborations and exchange programs with some of the major pharmacometric research groups worldwide. For more info about us, please visit the link below http://www.pharmacometrics.uct.ac.za/ We are seeking to appoint a Research Officer at Lecturer level (comparable to US Assistant Professor) to lead modelling and simulation research and training activities. The position is initially for 2 years and is renewable depending on available funding and satisfactory progress. Requirements include: • A PhD in a discipline relevant to pharmacometrics • Appropriate post-PhD experience in pharmacometric modelling and simulation • Demonstration of strong research capability • Appropriate computer systems and software knowledge (considerable experience in NONMEM, Monolix, and/or R is essential) The following will be advantageous: • Demonstration of leadership, training, and mentoring capability • Experience of Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic analysis in infectious diseases. Responsibilities include: • Mentorship and training of postgraduate students • Development and conduct of modelling and simulation research projects The deadline for applications is October 31st, 2021.
