Piraña release

From: Ron Keizer Date: May 07, 2008 news
Dear NONMEM users, I would like to inform the usersnet of a new software tool developed by our group, called Piraña, which is primarily a GUI to NONMEM. While development of Piraña was initiated to drive our cluster, we now think it might be of use to other modelers as well. Multiple NONMEM installations can be installed, managed, recompiled and used. The software enables creation, management and execution of model files. Furthermore, it offers some features for assessment of fit, such as generating HTML run reports (using PsN-core) and creation of basic goodness-of-fit-plots. As mentioned, Piraña can execute runs on a simple cluster architecture that can be installed on any network system with a shared drive, without the need for any third party cluster software. Piraña is released as open source, under the GNU-GPL license. Currently, only a Windows version is available. It requires NONMEM, and preferably R, Perl, and PsN, to be installed. More information, screenshots, manual and downloading from http://pirana.sourceforge.net. Any comments, questions and/or bug-reports are very welcome, Ron RJ Keizer, PharmD Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology Slotervaart Hospital / the Netherlands Cancer Institute Amsterdam, the Netherlands
