PDx-Pop Version 5.1 for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X is now available for download from our ftp site at ftp://ftp.globomaxnm.com/Public/pdxpop/PDx-Pop5.1/ The downloaded files can be installed following the instructions found in the PDF files found at the same location. The installed software can be used by anyone for free for a 30 day trial. Registered users only need replace the 30-day license file, PDx-Pop.lic, with their permanent license file (of the same name) found in their existing PDx-Pop installation directory of a prior version. There are no disabled features present in the trial install (it will just expire if the license file is not replaced within 30 days). Use of the PDx-Pop trial version requires a current NONMEM license and NONMEM version 7.1.0 or higher. New Features and Changes in PDx-Pop Version 5.1: 1. PDx-Pop has been entered into a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. SDLC is a structure imposed on the development of a software product that includes planning, implementation, testing, documenting, deployment and maintenance to insure the quality and suitability of the product for its intended use. 2. If run-time NONMEM errors are encountered for a run, the error output is now displayed in the PDx-Pop Output Window as an aid to debugging the run. See Section 5.2 of the PDx-Pop Manual. 3. Real-time parameter plots are now labeled with the parameter name in the title and the y-axis of the plot. If multiple plots are initiated (of different parameters) within a run, the plots are now staggered for easier viewing. See Section 5.2.4. 4. "-prdefault" has been made a default Advance Option on the Model/Run tab because it is a commonly used NONMEM run option. See Section 5.2.5. 5. A bug that occurred when the data file was in a directory other than the current project directory and prevented completion of summary file creation was fixed to allow storing in the data file other than in the project directory and successful completion of the summary file. See Section 5.3.2. 6. Numerous changes to the New Methods Wizard, particularly to aid in creating control streams to implement NONMEM runs that use prior information, have been made. See Section 6.3. 7. Defaults for the Parafile Wizard were change to "MPI" and "load balance". See Section 6.4. William J.
