i've successfully compiled
nonmem under solaris 2.6, 7 & 8 using the
apogee and gnu fortran compilers.
i had to do some minor hacking at the
source code to get it working
with the apogee but it works just fine. i
don't recommend hacking the
nonmem source code unless you aprove the
modifications with the nonmem
group. in the past nonmem was compiled
using the sun workshop compiler
kit but we never used it in a production
environment, to $$$. unless
you alreay own licenses for the sun
compilers i'd recommend using
the GNU tools.
feel free to drop me a line
if you have any questions. even thought i've
never used the sun compilers
personally with nonmem i do have them in
shop and it would be pretty
simple to though them on a test machine and
compare results.
