NONMEM on HPC at the University of Chicago

From: Beth L Eicher Date: September 26, 2016 technical
Hello, I am a system administrator with the Center for Research Informatics, Biological Sciences Division, of the University of Chicago. We have a High Performance Computing cluster using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. We desire to use NONMEM with PsN and cPirana at the Linux command line for single node and MPI jobs using ifort 14. I am here to network with similar site with this type of installation. Also, I hope to see if there are any other users of NONMEM at the University of Chicago who may be interested in using this on the cluster as well as your lab’s stand-alone workstation license. My first question for this list is… Does nmfe73 have to be in a directory that is write-able? I am looking forward to working with you all. Hi Beth, NONMEM executable directory doesn't not need to be writable. Just make sure the key directories (~/nm73/run; ~/nm73/tr) as well as the fortran compiler are in the system's PATH and you should be fine.
