Nonmem 7 installation

From: Batul Parta Date: September 03, 2011 technical
Dear all, I have installed nm72 with a successful test run (gfortran). However, when I want to run it (nmfe72 ....) I get the message: "nmfe72 is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch run" I haven't been able to find anything on the nmuser archive. Any comments on how to remedy this? BP

Either copy the nmfe72.bat file from the NONMEM run directory (e.g. C:\nm72\run\) to the directory you are trying to run from or append the path to this file to your system environment PATH variable (e.g. PATH=......; C:\nm72\run) Google for instructions if you don't know how to modify Windows environment variables.

nmfe72 is most likely included not in your path. Google is your best bet here, as the inclusion operation is not specific to NONMEM but to your operating system. Dear BP, The simple answer is that nmfe72.bat does not exist in the directory from where you issued your command to start NONMEM. You can copy nmfe72.bat into each directory or create a PATH to the directory where you keep your nmfe72.bat. There is an instruction on how to add a PATH in Windows in the installation guide to NONMEM.
