Hello,
We are currently planning to purchase new hardware that will be mainly used for NM. Who has experience with NM on the AMD Athlon and/or the Intel P4 (or P3) platform ?
If I am correct, the majority of NM's "workload" are floating point operations, but which type is most relevant for the fortran code that NM generates: multiplication, division, addition or subtraction ?
AMD Athlon generally seems to be good at FPO's, but is the Compaq Fortran compiler expected to be optimized for P4 in the future ?
Are there any existing NONMEM benchmarks known on AMD vs. Intel ?
Thanks in advance for any ideas !

Joost,
I use NONMEM on both AMD Athlon and Intel Pentium III platforms with MS Powerstation version 4 and see no major differences.
Best regards,
Vladimir
