Dear Colleagues, For the first time at the Pharmacometrics Network Benelux meeting, you will have the opportunity to present a poster during the break and the reception at the end of the meeting. If you have something ready, please bring it and show your work. When: Thursday, November 27th - 12:00 - 18:00 Where: Het Pand - University Ghent, Onderbergen 1, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. Agenda theme: Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Modeling You can register by sending an e-mail to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> There is no registration fee, but registration is required for participation. The meeting will include a light lunch, a coffee/tea break and drinks upon closure. Scientific Program 12.00 - 13.20: Light lunch and welcome 12.20 - 13.30: Opening remarks 13.30 - 14.30: An introduction to PBPK modeling: basic principles and fields of application Sieto Bosgra, TNO (The Netherlands) 14.30 - 15.00: A physiologically-based pharmacokinetic model to explore ALX-0171 PK in infants following inhalation Massimiliano Germani, Ablynx NV (Belgium) 15.00 - 15.30: Simulating Pharmacokinetics in Special Populations Lisa Almond, Simcyp (UK) 15.30 - 16.00: Coffee Break 16.00 - 16.30: Pharmacokinetics of midazolam and its metabolites after i.v. and oral administration in obese and non-obese patients Jantine Brussee, PhD student Leiden (The Netherlands) 16.30 - 17.00: The use of preclinical species in combination with PBPK modeling in selecting or ranking formulations for potential use in man An Van Den Bergh, Janssen (Belgium) 17.00 - 18.00 Closure and reception Venue Parking will be possible at the parking facility in front of Het Pand. Trains to Ghent Sint-Pieters station or Ghent South. From Ghent Sint-Pieters station take tram 1 (every 6 min) or 24 (every 20 min) to Korenmarkt. The intention is to create an informal platform for the pharmacometric community in this region of the world (in industry, academia, hospital pharmacies as well as regulatory bodies), with the goal to promote professional and scientific awareness and interactions.
