Dear NMUsers, Karolinska Institutet is delighted to offer an introductory course in pharmacometrics. This course will be delivered online, it is meant for qualified students resident in Africa, and it is free of charge, as it was developed with support from Novartis AG. It is delivered under the rules and regulations of Karolinska Institutet; therefore if you - or any of your colleagues resident in Africa - are interested in participating, please apply via KI (link below). The online course will begin in October and will consist of ten weekly sessions, plus an introduction week, and a continuous assessment. In terms of workload, you should plan to spend between 4 and 8 hours per week studying for the course. Each weekly session will consist of some pre-recorded lectures and a live tutorial with tutors from the University of Cape Town and the University of Manchester. Following the online course, the best and most motivated students will be invited to a face-to-face workshop in early 2016, hosted by the University of Cape Town. If you have further questions please feel free to contact Jeremy Whitty about the course content at [email protected] If you wish to apply or have any questions about the application process please visit the link below and/or contact Michelle Azorbo, the Project coordinator, at [email protected] Finally, for now, places are limited and the closing date for applications is 26th of August, so if you wish to apply, you will need to do so quickly.
