Mark your calendars for the first Midwest local event for the American
Society of Pharmacometrics- coming up in just one week!
This will be an opportunity for local PK/PD and M&S scientists to meet and
get to know each other in an informal environment. We will have a talk from
a renowned modeler from the industry and will also spend some time
discussing future plans and events. Let everyone know about this event and
please feel free to invite people who are interested in modeling and
simulation or just want to meet and have a good time!
The presentation title will be: *Why Has the Modeling and Simulation
Revolution Not Succeeded? *by *Peter Bonate*, Senior Director, Astellas.
This will be an entertaining presentation by an industry leader on why
modeling and simulation has not yet revolutionized drug development. Topics
discussed will include “Is M&S a disruptive technology?”, “Why we are not
intuitive statisticians”, and “The problem of model complexity”.
