Responsibilities
* Strategic leadership and functional management of MBDD drug development
scientists supporting program objectives
* Accountable for quality of MBDD (including QSP) plans and for quality and
timeliness of team deliverables
* Responsible for creating and maintaining internal and external networks
to support MBDD including QSP objectives
* Member of specialty medicine Strategy and Portfolio Committee, and
Protocol Review Committee representing QCP
* Member of Global-QCP Committee and QCP-West Leadership Team and assigned
deliverables
* Lead a team of experienced managers as direct and indirect reports.
Continuously build team capability through high quality talent selection,
mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Education PhD, PharmD, and/or MD
Experience 10-15 years
Competencies (Optional)
* Proficiency in quantitative analyses, particularly QSP, and including
population PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, and clinical trial simulations
* Prior experience in applying model-based drug development principles to
clinical development programs in multiple therapeutic areas
* In depth knowledge of pharmacometrics tools and techniques
* In depth knowledge of clinical pharmacology
* Experience in specialty medicine and rare disease drug development
desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, influencing,
problem-solving, and planning skills, proven collaboration skills, project
leadership capability.
* Global business orientation; ability to build team relationships and
interface in a global team environment across all levels.
* Ability to lead, coach, develop a multicultural organization
