Dear NONMEM users, Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C., Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, is pleased to announce that we are recruiting for leadership roles as Regional Pharmacometric (PM) Group Leaders located in Beerse, Belgium and in the US, within the department of Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPPM) - Quantitative Sciences. The regional PM Group Leader ensures that the Janssen portfolio is delivered in line with the Disease Area Strongholds (DAS) strategy, across all therapeutic areas, on time and within budget. The position has line responsibility for PM Leaders in the group. The PM group leader is accountable for developing pharmacometric plans for projects, working in close partnership with CPPM group leaders. The position is also accountable for the PM functional input into DAS strategies and product development plans across Therapeutic Area (TA), in close collaboration with CPPM group leaders and the appropriate group(s) within Statistics and Decision Sciences organization. The PM group leader must have strong hands-on experience in modeling and simulation (M&S), and possess deep and diverse scientific and technical expertise in the application of M&S in drug development. The position plays a central role in increasing the organizational awareness of the value of Model-Based approaches in drug development, and oversees M&S work for the Janssen R&D portfolio including both small and large molecules. The position is expected to stimulate innovation in the Pharmacometric discipline including exploring new methodologies to support drug development projects, and to develop individual staff members scientifically in close collaboration with the CPPM-Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This position is a core member of CPPM-SLT. The ideal candidate for this position will have a PhD level within a relevant field, at least 12 years of experience in implementing PM knowledge in drug development projects, and excellent communication skills. Individual should also have the ability to manage a group and mentor talents, motivate and empower others to achieve development goals and enjoy developing a scientifically diverse group of people.
