pharmacology and pharmacometrics to commence in early 2015.
This 2-year, full-time contractor position is aimed at an early career clinical
pharmacologist with aspiration to establish themselves within the biopharma
industry. You will enjoy a broad range of experience and responsibility in this
newly created role within Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics, Clinical
R&D. Reporting to the global Head of department, this fellowship will be based
at CSLB's King of Prussia offices in Pennsylvania, USA. With direct mentorship
from 2 Directors of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics, you will work
closely alongside functional and other clinical development colleagues in
implementing the discipline across the R&D portfolio. The Fellowship will not
be affiliated with any academic or government institution, nor is it Board
Accredited.
Apart from direct development as an industry clinical pharmacologist, by
undertaking this position the Fellow will gain multidisciplinary experience in
broad-ranging areas including clinical and therapeutic strategies,
biostatistics, clinical operations, clinical development teams, clinical
translational science, trial conduct, external vendor management, and
regulatory science.
Requirements: Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life science/healthcare
required with at least 1 year post-degree experience in the clinical research
arena, and proven ability to undertake pharmacokinetic/pharmacometric analyses.
Experience:
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently or in a team
setting, and to meet set goals by managing own timelines.
- Demonstrable knowledge of clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetic
principles.
- Proven understanding of clinical science and pharmacology (for
non-MD and non-PharmD candidates),
- Proven ability to undertake non-compartmental PK and population PK
analyses. Experience in more advanced PK/PD modeling and simulation methods
preferable.
- Strong research skills, knowledge of scientific analysis, data
mining and basic statistical analysis principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience in
effective medical writing desirable.
