*Clinical Pharmacologist/Pharmacokineticist Job Openings*
Two positions are now available in the Clinical Pharmacology Program (CPP),
Medical Oncology Branch (MOB) of the Center for Cancer Research (CCR),
National Cancer Institute (NCl), National Institutes of Health (NlH),
Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS):
- Clinical Pharmacologist/Pharmacokineticist
- Post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology and
Pharmacokinetics
These positions will focus on pharmacological aspects of clinical trials,
primarily pharmacokinetic studies of anticancer agents. Experience in
non-compartmental, compartmental and population pharmacokinetic studies is
required, including familiarity with WinNonlin and NONMEM. Additional
knowledge of bioanalytical techniques, data analysis and study design is
preferred.
Job responsibilities include:
- Design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of pharmacokinetic/
pharmacodynamic, drug disposition, drug metabolism, and drug-drug
interaction data in clinical studies, particularly Phase I and Phase II
studies of anticancer agents
- Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling, including
investigating factors
contributing to interindividual variability
- Preparation of reports for regulatory submission
- Providing PK/PD training, guidance and expertise to peers
- Independent development of population pharmacokinetic models of
small molecules and biological agents
Candidates must have either a Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutics or related field
or a Pharm.D. degree.
