The lectureship aims to advance modelling research in the area of individual dose optimisation and to demonstrate its application. You will have a first degree in a biologically related subject (e.g. pharmacy, pharmacology, systems biology) with a PhD involving modelling in the area of clinical pharmacology. You should have a sound understanding of physiologically-based pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics with scholarly publications focusing on patient variability. You will be expected to setup appropriate links with clinical research groups across the University in order to initiate research projects related to dose individualisation, particularly relating to Cancer, HIV and applications of biologics. Research projects should entail the utilisation of prior information on patients and drug characteristics using Bayesian optimisation methods and by monitoring markers of therapeutic effects. The Lecturer will participate and contribute to the post graduate teaching on model-based drug development particularly in the area of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modelling.
