Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is presently seeking a scientist
who has a Ph.D, PharmD, or MD with postdoctoral fellowship training in
pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, biopharmaceutics or a related field. The
position will be a joint appointment between the Department of Anesthesia and
the Division of Clinical Pharmacology. Faculty appointments are granted through
the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Anesthesia and level/rank
will be commensurate with candidate's experience.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a community of scientists and
clinicians working together in well-equipped and funded research space to
improve drug therapeutics in children with a variety of diseases. The research
effort will focus on the application of pharmacometric approaches as they
relate to anesthetic and analgesic drug pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and
pharmacogenetics in the pediatric population. Specifically, an emphasis on the
implementation of novel approaches to clinical trial simulation and disease
progression modeling in the field of personalized anesthesia and analgesia. An
individual will be encouraged to take a leadership role in PK/ PD modeling, as
well as exploring opportunities for developing drug and metabolite
measurements.
