Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to announce that the inaugural APN 2019 meeting in
Bangkok, Thailand was a great success, with 174 people registered and >20
people in the waiting list. This waiting list occurred because the conference
was hosted by a university, which imposed a ceiling on the number of
registrants. Thus, one may say approximately 200 people participated in APN
2019.
This implies that, in terms of launching, APN was as successful as or did
better than PAGE, the flagship regional meeting on the globe. In PAGE, the
inaugural meeting in 1992 started with 59 people, and it took 8 years to reach
156 in 2000 and 9 years to reach 200 in 2001.
Accordingly, on behalf of the organizers of APN2019, I would like to thank all
who organized, volunteered, sponsored, presented, and attended this conference,
and who supported it remotely. Please take a moment to enjoy the conference
photos open on the conference website
( http://go-apn.org/bbs/board.php?tbl=photogallery). The presentation slides
will also be available soon.
Initiated with 9 member countries, through APN 2019, APN has now become a
network of 14 member countries ( http://go-apn.org/company/company_05.php). Our
efforts to enhance and expand regional development and networking opportunities
in pharmacometrics in Asia will continue in 2020, with India as the hosting
country for the APN 2020 meeting,
We look forward to your continued support.
Best regards,
Kyungsoo Park
