Alternatively, you could try to start with (1) improved initial estimates or (2) with very small inits for $OMEGA which should minimize the chance of hitting your exit boundaries during the first step. The model produces errors during ETA search which are very cumbersome to fetch, thus these errors are likely to persist. Since COND does not have a problem with EXIT codes once the first (two?) evaluation steps have been performed, I was wondering whether somebody knows some kind of work-around for this. E.g.
