The "7th Noordwijkerhout Symposium on Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Systems Pharmacology" is the next symposium in the series "International Symposium on Measurement and Kinetics of In Vivo Drug Effects" in 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. The purpose of the meeting is to bring together scientists with an interest in in vivo pharmacodynamic investigations to discuss the latest developments in pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modelling. In this year's symposium the emerging discipline "Systems Pharmacology" will be in focus. The conference organisation team welcomes your participation at this important event from 23-25 April 2014 in Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands. Prof. Meindert Danhof, Co-Chair Prof. Koos Burggraaf, Co-Chair Prof. Piet Van der Graaf, Co-Chair Plenary sessions: * Session-1 "Setting the scene": introduction of the concept * Session-2 "Molecules": chemical biology as the basis for the design of novel drug molecules * Session-3 "Target exposure": systems biology of membrane transporters and drug disposition * Session-4 "Pathways": merging systems biology with pharmacodynamics * Session-5 "Multi-scale modelling": modelling of disease progression * Session-6 "Big Data": use of big data in systems pharmacology * Session-7 "Patients": drug treatment in special patient groups * Session-8 "Implementation": industrial and regulatory aspects Furthermore: * A poster session covering all aspects of Systems Pharmacology and PK/PD modelling and its applications * Opportunities for interactive discussions Please go to the website for more information and registration: www.systemspharmacology.eu/
