At PAGE we will have two complimentary sessions to help people get more from Phoenix, please look at these sessions when you sign up for PAGE next week. 08:30 - 12:30 "Phoenix Connect: Linking Modeling and Simulation Tools, including NONMEM, R, Xpose & PsN, in Phoenix Workflows" http://www.pharsight.com/training/course_display_new.php?details_id=98 This will be primarily a demonstration led session but the instructor will try to give tips on how to make your own connection to locally installed instances of R etc. Example scripts and projects will be provided for you to follow up with in your own time. attendees who wish to follow along should attend with the Phoenix software installed and licensed on their own laptops (any attendees requiring a Phoenix Connect license will have one provided for the session). In addition they should have local installations of any of those third-party tools they would be interested in utilising during the session;. SAS 8 & 9 S-PLUS 8 R 2.9.1 NONMEM 5,6 or 7 SigmaPlot 9.0.1, 10, 11.1 None of these are necessary for people to attend; users are responsible for their own licenses for these software. 13:00 - 17:00 "An Overview of the QRPEM Algorithm in Phoenix NLME" details. http://www.pharsight.com/training/course_display_new.php?details_id=99 Specific seminar topics include: * Background and history of EM methods in the context of NLME Population PK/PD modeling * Fundamentals of the MCPEM Algorithm * Importance Sampling * Pseudo-random vs. quasi-random numbers * Algorithmic similarities and differences among MCPEM , QRPEM, and SAEM * QRPEM options, features and controls * SIR (Sampling Importance Resampling) algorithm in QRPEM * QRPEM vs. MCPEM vs. FOCE comparative examples using Phoenix, NONMEM, and S-ADAPT * QRPEM vs. Adaptive Gaussian Quadrature A variety of supporting examples will be demonstrated with Phoenix NLME QRPEM and other Phoenix NLME algorithms during the discussion. Attendees will be provided with a 1-month, fully functioning license for Phoenix NLME along with the demonstration project files used in the seminar. We will be shortly releasing Phoenix 1.3, the NLME module of which will include the QRPEM algorithm. http://www.linkedin.com/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Epharsight%2Ecom%2Fliterature_download%2FwhiteQRPEM%2Epdf&urlhash=kNtv&_t=tracking_anet Best regards, Simon. ___________________________________ [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Senior Scientific Consultant Pharsight- A Certara(tm) Company Mobile : +44 7980 832 666 Facsimile : +1 801 991 7145 Home Office : +44 113 274 1198 July Phoenix 6.2.1, including AutoPilot 2.0 released, March Phoenix 6.2, including the IVIVC toolkit released, get tips and discuss Pharsight products with other users; www.pharsight.com/extranet ___________________________________ http://www.pharsight.com/training/training_upcoming.php Introduction to Phoenix WinNonlin 21-23 Feb. 2012 Milan, Italy Population Modeling Methodology using Phoenix NLME 19-21 Mar. 2012 Paris, France Introduction to Phoenix WinNonlin 17-19 Apr. 2012 Berlin, Germany Introduction to Phoenix WinNonlin 15-17 May 2012 Amsterdam, The Netherlands Satellite workshops at PAGE, 5 June 2012, Venice, Italy. 08:30 - 12:30 "Phoenix Connect: Linking Modeling and Simulation Tools, including NONMEM, R, Xpose & PsN, in Phoenix Workflows" https://pharsight.securesites.com/training/course_display_new.php?details_id=98. 13:00 - 17:00 "An Overview of the QRPEM Algorithm in Phoenix NLME" https://pharsight.securesites.com/training/course_display_new.php?details_id=99. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lena Friberg Sent: Saturday, January 14, 2012 9:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [NMusers] Uppsala Pharmacometrics Satellite workshop at PAGE Dear all, Uppsala Pharmacometrics will give a 2.5-day course on Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic modeling of continuous and categorical data in NONMEM for intermediate and advanced users from 3rd to 5th of June in Venice, Italy, as a satellite meeting before PAGE 2012. The course presents modeling strategies, techniques and implementations (using NONMEM) for the handling of PKPD information in population models. PD models for continuous data as well as binary, ordered categorical, count and time to event data will be discussed. Model diagnostics for PKPD models will be covered. The course will consist of both lectures and hands-on computer exercises using NONMEM 7, PsN and Xpose 4. The participants will be provided with a large library of NONMEM code as well as self-instructive material for further studies and exploration of examples for a wide range of PKPD models applied in different disease areas. A prerequisite for the course is basic experience with performing NONMEM analyses. For more information and registration, see http://www.uppsala-pharmacometrics.com.
