Simulation Expert, to be located in Berlin or Wuppertal (close to
Cologne/Düsseldorf), Germany.

Expert for Modeling & Simulation (m/f/d)
Would you like to drive and shape Model Informed Drug Development (MIDD) at
Bayer? Then, as an Expert for Modeling & Simulation (m/f/d), become part of the
quantitative pharmacology group (within the function Pharmacometrics/ Modeling
& Simulation).
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
· Develop strategies together with the Pharmacometrics Lead to implement
"Model Informed Drug Development" (MIDD)
· Support our development projects with population
pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics analyses from early development to market
launch
· Visualize and analyze complex data patterns
· Develop and establish population-based pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodynamic models, disease progression models and perform pharmacometrics
meta-analyses
· Develop and conduct exposure-response analyses
· Use these models to answer questions in our development projects, e.g.
by simulating "what if" scenarios
· Through good visualization and communication, ensure that the results
of your work support your teams in the best possible way
· Consider regulatory requirements and support your teams in
communicating with international authorities, e.g. EMA/FDA
Who You Are
·
· You have a Master's degree in a natural science (e.g. pharmacy or
medicine), engineering or mathematics and a PhD with a focus on modeling and
simulation of aspects of drug development; alternatively several years of
experience in the development and application of population-based PK/PD models
in the pharmaceutical industry
· You can program R at a high level and ideally also know programming
languages such as C++
· You have experience with standard software of nonlinear mixed effect
modeling (nlme) such as NONMEM or Monolix
· You have solid statistical knowledge and can visualize complex results
well
· You have good cooperation and communication skills and interest in
contributing to teams
· You are fluent in written and spoken English
